Nepal Vegetarian Association (NVA) is honored to organize the 8th Asia Pacific Vegetarian Congress (APVC) & Vegetarian Festival 2018 with the theme “Practice Compassion, Live a Healthy Lifestyle”. On behalf of the Asia Pacific Vegetarian Union (APVU), NVA takes great pleasure in inviting you to participate in the 8th Asia Pacific Vegetarian ongress 2018 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
This Congress will discuss and debate topics about the greatest global challenges such as climate change, world hunger, poverty, drought, deforestation, disease, energy crises and the unethical treatment of animals and other related topics. You will be able to listen to, question and meet knowledgeable professionals in the field of health, environment, ethics and activism.
There will be food demonstrations by renowned chefs, buffet feasts of fantastic Nepali cuisine and exhilarating music. All food will be 100% vegan and we will cater to your specific requirement such as gluten free or garlic free etc (let us know in advance)

APVU (ASIA PACIFIC VEGETARIAN UNION)
APVU is a regional organisation consisting of South East Asian countries, China including Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Middle Eastern countries, Australia and New Zealand. It was formed in 1998 but held its 1st congress in Goa, India in 2001.
APVU has strong alliance with the International Vegetarian Union (IVU).
APVU is held every two years to promote a holistic approach to vegetarian lifestyle. Nepal Vegetarian Association has been given the honor to organize the congress this year.
NVA (NEPAL VEGETARIAN ASSOCIATION)
Nepal Vegetarian Association was formed 10 years ago to create awareness and encourage Nepali people to opt for a healthy vegetarian lifestyle free from cruelty to all animal beings. NVA is very active in promoting vegetarianism through talks, camps, hiking and public posters and cooking demo.
